Poltimore Arms – Yarde Down

I am sat in my car with the rain beating down waiting for the pub to open. Not for a drink but to take some photos for the Exmoor Magazine food section.

I realise now that I have forgotten my flash and Naomi mentioned something about this place not having electricity, lucky I have my torch maybe.

Landlord just arrived.

And now for a spot of lunch. An excellent pint of Dark Horse and a beef and cheese ploughmans.

And that was very very good. If you are ever out this way you really should stop by the Poltimore Arms for lunch.

Great photo’s Hobbbs, looks like a nice spot of lunch, but beer left, you have changed… oh we are getting older

    • It’s a great pub out in the middle of no-where. Good beer and food. But a good drive from home so just the one beer at lunchtime. But yes, getting older, it’s real ale too!
